2017 Oscars Fashion Recap: Wedding Dress Inspiration

Wow, what a show! The controversial Best Picture announcement fiasco made up for some ordinary, non-controversial fashion dresses that walked the red carpet during the 89th annual Academy Awards. Non-controversial, yes! Lacked gorgeousness? I don't think so! This year, the color gold dominated not just statutes handed out, but the dresses as well! And they are stunning! Springtime is in full effect in Los Angeles, and I am loving every. single. minute. of. it. Being an Angeleno/a, we are truly spoiled with the vast 75-degree weathers that we encounter pretty much on a daily basis. Let's not let my super cute sweater and lace shorts combo fool you, I am at a lost for some fashion inspo when weather dips below 70. Yes, we are spoiled, indeed!

Wedding Destination: Washington DC

I recently returned from an amazing spring break trip. It was such a hectic 4-day travel to Washington DC. No one would ever think of travelling to our nation's capital as a Spring Break trip, unless you're chaperoning an 8th grade class. Well, that is the exact same trip my BFF missed back in 8th grade, so... we made up for it. In our 30s. It was truly a great experience. Not sure if our 8th-grade selves would show much of the same appreciation to the lush gardens, awe-inspiring monuments, and rich history that our 30-year-selves did; we are already planning our trip back!

Coming soon, I will feature a number of magnificent architecture and venues that could and would provide an amazing wedding venue!  For now, here are a couple of shots, live from our Nation's Capital!

Easter 2016: White Lilies' Spiritual Significance

A new season, a new beginning. There's something about Easter season that is just so rejuvenating. The random flowers blooming out of nowhere, the crisp, sunny Los Angeles weather, spring dresses with wedge espadrilles - everything is just so lovely and refreshing! As I stroll through Downtown Los Angeles' flower mart, I see store after store blanketed with rows of overflowing white lilies. It makes me wonder, what is with white lilies and Easter? But again, Easter with no white lilies is like a spring dress with no matching wedge espadrilles! So, I turn to my friends from Texas A&M to uncover the spiritual significance of white lilies at Eastertime.  Check out their explanation below. Beware, it's quite lengthy. Wedding Feature: Jodi and Adam

Jodi and I met in graduate school in Long Beach, California. When we first met, I gravitated toward her effortlessness charisma and intelligence. I was extremely ecstatic to find out she was getting married a year after we graduated from graduate school. I had a pleasure of witnessing Adam and Jodi's matrimony.
